Description

Herringbone Solid Wood 18mm Golden Brushed Matt Lacquer

The Herringbone Solid Wood Flooring 18mm Golden Brushed Matt Lacquer combines classic parquet design with premium hardwood craftsmanship. Each plank is solid hardwood with a brushed surface that brings out the grain and texture, finished in a warm golden hue and sealed with a matt lacquer to protect against everyday wear.

Constructed in an 18mm thickness and featuring a traditional herringbone pattern, this solid wood floor offers enduring quality and visual appeal that complements both contemporary and traditional interiors. The rustic grade timber displays natural variations in tone and grain, creating a floor that is truly unique.

Why choose this Herringbone Solid Wood Floor?
- Authentic solid hardwood construction
Crafted from 100% solid wood, this floor can be sanded and refinished multiple times, giving it longevity that engineered or laminate options can’t match.

- Elegant herringbone pattern
The classic herringbone layout adds architectural interest and timeless character, elevating any room.

- Brushed matt lacquer finish
Brushing enhances the wood’s natural texture, while the matt lacquer delivers a protective, stylish finish that’s easy to maintain.

- Rustic grade aesthetic
Natural knots, colour variation and wood grain create depth and character, making each plank distinct.

- Built for heavy domestic use
With 18mm solid construction and a heavy use rating, this floor withstands the demands of everyday family life.

Product suitability
The Herringbone Solid Wood Flooring is designed for full stick (glue-down) installation, ensuring maximum stability and longevity. It is best suited to dry, temperature-stable environments and is not recommended for use with underfloor heating or in moisture-prone areas such as bathrooms.
Care and maintenance
The brushed matt lacquer surface makes daily care straightforward. Regularly sweep or vacuum (on a hard floor setting) to remove grit and dust. For deeper cleaning, use a slightly damp microfibre mop with a wood-safe cleaner, and dry immediately. Avoid excessive water and harsh chemical cleaners, and place mats or rugs in high-traffic areas to protect the finish.

FAQs
How do I install herringbone solid wood flooring?
This floor is installed using the full stick (glue-down) method - essential for a secure and stable herringbone pattern. Professional installation is recommended for best results.

Does the golden finish fade in sunlight?
All natural wood floors experience some change over time. The matt lacquer provides protection against UV effects, but placing rugs or blinds in direct sunlight can reduce noticeable fading.

Can I use this flooring in a kitchen?
This solid wood flooring performs best in dry, temperature-stable rooms. Kitchens with frequent water exposure are not recommended unless spills are cleaned immediately and protective measures are taken.

What makes the rustic grade different?
Rustic grade timber includes natural knots, colour variation and grain differences that add character and a natural, lived-in look, rather than a perfectly uniform surface.
