Crafted from high‑quality oak and finished with a brushed and oiled surface, this wide plank solid wood flooring showcases rich grain, texture and colour variation. The 150mm board width creates a contemporary yet timeless look, making it an excellent choice for a wide range of interior styles - from classic oak schemes to modern open‑plan living.
With an 18mm thickness, the Cumaru flooring offers strength and resilience under everyday wear, backed by a generous 25‑year domestic warranty.
Why choose Cumaru solid wood flooring?
- Authentic solid oak construction
Manufactured from 100% oak hardwood, this floor can be sanded and refinished multiple times, extending its lifespan well beyond engineered or laminate alternatives.
- Wide plank design (150mm)
The 150mm width enhances the visual flow of a room, creating a spacious, premium feel while highlighting the timber’s natural grain and tones.
- Brushed and oiled finish
Brushing accentuates texture by gently removing softer wood fibres, while the oiled finish penetrates the wood, protecting from within and enhancing natural colour depth.
- Rustic grade appeal
Natural knots, grain variation and rich tones give each plank its own distinct characte.
- Built for heavy domestic use
With an 18mm thickness and heavy‑use rating, this solid wood flooring performs well in high‑traffic rooms such as living areas, dining rooms and hallways.
Product suitability
The Cumaru solid wood floor is designed for full stick (glue‑down) installation, ensuring a secure, long‑lasting finish. It’s best suited to dry, temperature‑stable rooms and is not suitable for underfloor heating or moisture‑prone spaces such as bathrooms.
Care and maintenance
The brushed and oiled surface makes care straightforward. Regular sweeping or vacuuming (hard floor setting) removes dust and grit, preventing surface scratching. Clean with a slightly damp microfibre mop and a wood‑safe cleaner, and dry immediately. Avoid excessive water or harsh chemicals, and place protective pads on furniture feet. Periodic re‑oiling keeps the surface nourished and looking its best.

FAQs
Is the Cumaru 18mm flooring real solid wood?
Yes. This product is made from 100% solid oak hardwood, not engineered or laminate. Each plank is a single piece of timber, offering authentic depth, grain and the ability to sand and refinish multiple times.
What does a brushed and oiled finish offer?
The brushed effect enhances the wood’s natural texture by removing softer fibres, while the oil finish penetrates the wood to protect it from within. This combination creates a tactile surface that’s both beautiful and durable.
Will the colour fade over time?
All natural wood floors may subtly change colour over long periods due to light and air exposure. Regular care and optional oil maintenance help preserve the floor’s original appearance.
Can this floor be sanded and refinished?
Yes. One of the key benefits of solid wood flooring is that it can be sanded and refinished multiple times, restoring its appearance and extending its lifespan.
