Woodtex Premier Underlay Built-in Vapour Barrier EWA1
Description
Woodtex is the supreme wood and laminate floor underlay. Combining, thermal and sound insulation qualities with an integrated moisture barrier. Its unique dense rubber composition helps sound reduction by up to 20db. Also ensuring low compression over the life cycle of this heavy rubber wood floor underlay. The plastic impregnated silver foil ensures a vapour barrier is integrated into the underlay (vapour barrier tape must be used), stopping vapour migration from your subfloor for this reason we recommend the silver face be installed down next to the floor. It will help with slight unevenness in the subfloor and it is also the ideal underlay for 1st floor installations. Woodtex wood floor underlay will help the serviceable life of your new floor covering. Supplied in 10m2 rolls.

When will my order arrive?
Our standard delivery provides orders to your door within 2-5 working days. As we want to ensure you’ll be available to receive the delivery in person we will contact you to discuss a time and date that is most convenient for you. This means we can’t ship any items out until we have spoken to you to confirm a date. Should there be any issues or delays likely for any reason, we will arrange an alternative date with you. Our priority is providing you with your flooring solution as quickly as possible at a time that suits you best.
How much will my delivery cost?
For Mainland UK standard delivery costs £29.50. Additional charges will be applied for deliveries outside Mainland UK including Eire.
Can I choose a specific slot or a Saturday delivery?
If you need to receive your delivery within a tight timeframe, you can request for your flooring to be delivered at a specific time. This will incur a surcharge of £20, and is advised for those who will not be able to dedicate a full day to wait in for delivery. You can also request a morning delivery which has a surcharge of £12.50.
If you place your order any time throughout the week before 10am on Friday you can also choose to have a Saturday delivery slot. There is also a surcharge of £42.50 for this service.
Please note: Some services may be unavailable in certain parts of the country. All delivery prices displayed include Vat unless otherwise stated.
What else do I need to do?
All deliveries are made ‘kerb side’ and we recommend arranging adequate help to off load your goods if you are unable to manage the flooring yourself. It is assumed that the delivery address will be accessible. Failed deliveries will incur a redelivery charge.

Nice product, cuts well and gives just that little bounce in the floor.

Underlay is thick and warm, the heat difference between flooring with and without is instantly noticeable. It' is easy to cut and lay but doesn't tear. Its well worth paying the extra for this underlay.

Perfect choice for a concrete floor
A nice product to use, easy to cut and lay, good insulation properties and helps even out any minor flooring defects. However the fleece backing comes away too easily when laid and this snags on the flooring tongues and grooves causing a furring up of glue dispensers.
Very good quality underlay easily fitted over concrete

Hi, Is this underlay suitable for use with a wooden subfloor and engineered wood flooring?
Hi,
It is designed for concrete subfloors as it has a built in vapour barrier, that being said - it can be used on wooden floors.

Is this suitable for use with underfloor heating and engineered wood flooring ?
Thanks
Hi,
The Woodtex is not suitable for under floor heating no. For wooden subfloors with under floor heating we do the heat therm and for concrete floors it is the heat therm plus.

What is the best underlay for fitting laminate flooring onto a wooden surface?
I would always go for the Classic Fibre Board if thickness is not an issue, this will give the best results.

Is this underlay suitable for engineered oak flooring laid on a concrete floor? If not which one would be please? Thanks, Geoff.
Hi,
Yes, this product is designed for concrete sub floors and yes, you can install an engineered click system on top of this. You can also use the vapour tape to put over the joins in the underlay.
