Delivery Details

As a consumer driven company, Factory Direct Flooring is constantly trying to ensure that our customers are offered the best deals and the best possible price on our wood flooring. This runs right through from our product range to our delivery costs. As a result of that, Factory Direct Flooring is happy to offer free delivery on any wood flooring order over £350 + VAT as long as the delivery address is within the UK mainland. Any orders under £350 incurs a delivery charge of £30 + VAT.

If you live in or specify a delivery address that is within certain areas of Northern Scotland, Northern & Southern Ireland, the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Isle of Wight, we may apply a surcharge. This is largely pendent on postcode, but all of the applicable surcharges are outlined in the table below. Please check for your postcode and the surcharge applicable.

Delivery Times

In terms of our delivery times for wood flooring, the majority of orders are dispatched from our distribution centre within 3 days. In some cases, next day delivery is possible with prior arrangement providing that the payment has been cleared by 10am the previous working day. However, this is not possible during weekends or bank holidays, or if we have to source the wood flooring beforehand.

Our wood flooring delivery service is kerbside via the nearest access point. As the majority of our orders arrive with only one driver, larger orders may require a little help unloading. Similarly, all deliveries are either made via lorry or van, in which case it is assumed that the delivery address is wholly accessible. If there is a restriction in terms of the width of your road or a potential problem regarding traffic or parked vehicles then please let us know when you order your wood flooring so we can make the necessary arrangements.

All deliveries of wood flooring will be made between the hours of 8am and 6pm. Although we are unable to give an exact delivery time, you are able to request certain periods of the day. For example, you can request an AM or PM delivery for £35 extra or a Saturday delivery at £50, which we can then arrange with the courier service.

Please bear in mind that if a courier is unable to make a delivery on the arranged date because you are not there then you will be liable for a fee of £60 upon redelivery. We accept no liability for any costs to you that are incurred by late delivery. Please refrain from booking installation until after you have the wood flooring in your possession.

We do our best to ensure that any wood flooring you order is delivered to you in perfect condition, as it is when it leaves our warehouse. However, items may be occasionally damaged in transit. This is why you should inspect your delivery immediately and note any damage on the delivery documents. No claim can be made for the cost of the wood flooring unless it is noted upon delivery. If you refuse any items and they are found to be in perfect condition then you will be charged £60 for the redelivery to us. However, if there are damaged goods then we will arrange for collection and refund as long as the claim is made within 7 days of receipt.
