When buying wood flooring for the first time, the installation process is the part that puts most people off. Those who are used to a simple procedure with carpets and even with tiling believe that getting your hardwood flooring fitted it is both time-consuming and expensive. This is simply not the case. Get an estimate from a professional, who will tell you how much everything will cost and how long it will take according to the specifications of your home and the type of flooring.
3) Preparation – In advance of the fitter’s arrival, do some preparation yourself. Remove all existing floor coverings, furniture and skirting boards from the room, make sure the floor is both clean and dry, and install any cables or heating pipes under floorboards before your new wood flooring is laid.
